Trying To Be Cool

Coat - Monki (similar) // Sweater - Dotti // Trousers - Glassons // Boots - Lipstik

A Celine inspired shoot for today as day two of Sydney's mini cyclonic weather made for a dark indoors space. And while this should have been a set back we actually had a lot of fun doing a different style of shoot; not to mention the excitement we felt when we could finally take out our coats and try on a couple of layers!

I'm working with a minimal palette again with this Monki boyfriend biker coat that has such a wonderfully cushion-ey texture, a white tee, a Dotti cream knit and black capri trousers.

Dress - Vintage // Jacket - Redoute Creation // Shoes - Dr Martens

I got this little floral dress thrifting a few years ago in Surry Hills and I've been meaning to wear it more often! It's super cute and has that granny floral print I like to wear every so often. You never find pieces like these in vintage stores anymore! Anyway, now Karina and I are just watching Transformers 3 and District 9 later on. Hope you guys have a nice day! Let us know what you think in the comments!

The Sunday Picnic Crew

Dress - Forecast (similar or this) // Cardigan - Chica a booti (similar) // Shoes - Dr Martens

A simple and cute outfit for an indoor picnic on a sweltering day. Today I'm wearing this brocade-esque princess dress that I've had for years, a black cardigan for the occasional chills and a pair of school shoe docs. The dress is one of my treasured items, I think it stands for everything I love fashion wise - structure, texture and my nostalgic tendencies towards clothing that remind me of my awesome wardrobe for when I was five.

Blazer - Forever 21 (similar) // Tee - Cotton On (other tees)// Shirt - Forever 21 (similar)// Skirt - Charlotte Russe (similar) / Shoes - Naturalizer N5 Comfort

Another outfit on a beautiful Sydney day! I've done a post with this blazer before, but in case you didn't see it, I scored it when I was in America almost three years ago. I was so incredibly happy at the time, because it was exactly what I was looking for. Here, I was inspired a little by the '70s with the combination of denim and the camel colouring, but then added the calf socks and mini skirt for a bit of spunk. Hope you guys like this outfit, let us know!

Sorbet Coloured Day

Jumper - unknown (similar) // Shorts - Jayjays (similar) // Slip ons - Vans

The weather's been so unpredictable lately that it isn't strange to be wearing a jumper or jacket over shorts and a tee in 30 degree heat. In my usual fit of hurry, I decided to keep things cool and cosy with these old burgundy shorts, plain white tee and this cream v-neck jumper that I'm sure was my fathers in the 90's. I was a bit unsure of wearing the jumper out because of it's raggedy state, it's my go to clothing item for painting and DIY projects! Despite the varnish stain here and there I think it matched pretty well with the burgundy!

Hope you guys have a delightful weekend! xx

Blazer - Glassons (similar) // Dress - Fahrenheit (similar) // Bag - Colette (similar)

Yesterday we had a look at the weather and had decided we'd head to the beach today in the short hours I had before work. And so naturally we ended up in the back streets of Surry Hills, because we have the tendency to completely change our minds at the last second. But nonetheless, I had picked my dress out with the intention of strolling the Clovelly shoreline. I've had it for a few years but don't wear nearly often enough. Here, I've paired it with my simple white blazer, Colette handbag, and my trusty Docs. Hope you all have a great weekend!
