Boxy Kimono Sleeve & Birkenstocks

Top - Zara (similar) // Plimsolls - Vans

A delicate twist to the basic boxy top, I love the subtle addition of lace on the sleeves and its loose structure. I've found this top quite versatile and easy to transition from day to night with a-line miniskirts, crepe shorts as well as boyfriend jeans. For now I've opted for a casual corporate look by pairing it with a pair of simple black trousers and plimsoll sneakers.

Tee - eBay // Pants - Sportsgirl // Flannel - Temt (similar)

Here's a casual look with my old pair of Birkenstocks I haven't worn in years! I've paired them with my sister's flannel shirt and my Arctic Monkeys tee, since they're one of my all-time favourite bands.

Sweater Weather

Button up - Glassons // Jumper - Gap (similar) // Trousers - unknown (similar) // Shoes - Dr Martens

Now my natural instincts when faced with such a dismal, rainy day is to stay in my pj's, close all the curtains, wrap myself into a blanket cocoon and watch a whole season of 30 Rock. However today called for productivity so the blanket cocoon had to wait.

Keeping things minimal and warm, I paired the quintessential white button up with my overused forest green sweater (it's holey and faded but that hasn't stopped me!), a pair of semi bell bottomed cropped trousers and docs that were made to splash paddles. Excuse the water splotches on the sweater, we were walking under the rain!

a happy tuesday to you all! xx

Kimono - She Inside (similar) // Top - Forever 21 (similar) // Boots - BP

Here's an autumn look now that the weather is getting colder and wetter. This outfit is pretty much what I'll be wearing over the next few months (possibly with tights when it starts getting too cold). I love the geometric print of the kimono because it dresses up the outfit a little and adds that element of bohemian that I like.

Dots & Studs

Jumpsuit – Dotti (similar) // Denim Jacket – Monki // Boots – Lipstick

It was only when I saw the end result of our shoot that I realised our outfits were as much about dressing for the unstable weather that comes with the summer to autumn transition than about the layering of different fabric textures. I think this transition is a great opportunity to mix and match light fabrics with much denser ones.

For me it was balancing this delicate, semi shear polka dot jumpsuit with something as utilitarian and rough as this denim jacket. There's something about this jumpsuit where I can't seem to wear it by itself; it seems like it was made for layering! I think it'll look great during winter with a pair of tights and a chunky jumper knotted to the side or with a boyfriend coat. Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!

Jumper - Topshop (similar) // Shorts - Sportsgirl (similar) // Jacket - Redoute Creation (similar) // Shoes - TUK // Sunglasses - Sportsgirl

Quite often when I see a lace piece, I feel an urge to buy it, and that's exactly what happened with these pair of shorts. They're white and bright, and obviously work perfectly with other neutral pieces. Next time I might add a striped shirt to add another pattern.

Also, thank you to everyone who's checked our blog out so far, it makes us very happy! We'll be back next week with more outfit posts since we'll be back to having lots of free time. Hope you guys are having a good week!
