Sweater Weather

Button up - Glassons // Jumper - Gap (similar) // Trousers - unknown (similar) // Shoes - Dr Martens

Now my natural instincts when faced with such a dismal, rainy day is to stay in my pj's, close all the curtains, wrap myself into a blanket cocoon and watch a whole season of 30 Rock. However today called for productivity so the blanket cocoon had to wait.

Keeping things minimal and warm, I paired the quintessential white button up with my overused forest green sweater (it's holey and faded but that hasn't stopped me!), a pair of semi bell bottomed cropped trousers and docs that were made to splash paddles. Excuse the water splotches on the sweater, we were walking under the rain!

a happy tuesday to you all! xx

Kimono - She Inside (similar) // Top - Forever 21 (similar) // Boots - BP

Here's an autumn look now that the weather is getting colder and wetter. This outfit is pretty much what I'll be wearing over the next few months (possibly with tights when it starts getting too cold). I love the geometric print of the kimono because it dresses up the outfit a little and adds that element of bohemian that I like.

Sorbet Coloured Day

Jumper - unknown (similar) // Shorts - Jayjays (similar) // Slip ons - Vans

The weather's been so unpredictable lately that it isn't strange to be wearing a jumper or jacket over shorts and a tee in 30 degree heat. In my usual fit of hurry, I decided to keep things cool and cosy with these old burgundy shorts, plain white tee and this cream v-neck jumper that I'm sure was my fathers in the 90's. I was a bit unsure of wearing the jumper out because of it's raggedy state, it's my go to clothing item for painting and DIY projects! Despite the varnish stain here and there I think it matched pretty well with the burgundy!

Hope you guys have a delightful weekend! xx

Blazer - Glassons (similar) // Dress - Fahrenheit (similar) // Bag - Colette (similar)

Yesterday we had a look at the weather and had decided we'd head to the beach today in the short hours I had before work. And so naturally we ended up in the back streets of Surry Hills, because we have the tendency to completely change our minds at the last second. But nonetheless, I had picked my dress out with the intention of strolling the Clovelly shoreline. I've had it for a few years but don't wear nearly often enough. Here, I've paired it with my simple white blazer, Colette handbag, and my trusty Docs. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Something Borrowed

Pullover - pre-owned (similar) // Shorts - Tempt (similar) // Boots - Lipstik

We have this tradition between my mother and I where every couple of years she'll get nostalgic and want to open up suitcases where all her clothes from her late 20's are stored; air them, remove a shoulder pad or two and wear them out. Usually, this would involve trying on ridiculous outfits and laughing over baggy plaid suits, but there would always be that one item that I'd immediately grab, tell mum I'd be borrowing and gradually claim it as my own.

In this case, it's two pieces - this super cute navy knit pull over (I love the crew neckline!) and heirloom pearl bracelet. All we need is a circle rockabilly skirt and we're set for the 1950's look don't you think?

Tee - Ben Sherman (similar) // Shorts - Forever New (similar) // Jacket - My dad's (sorry) // Shoes - Naturalizer N5 Comfort

A new look for this week! It's always so funny to look through the camera roll after we're done and see how ridiculous some of the photos always turn out. This outfit is comfortable as hell because of these super loose shorts from Forever New and comfy shoes from BP. I love the fit of these shorts, and will probably continue to wear them through winter with tights underneath. Also, I'm stoked to show you guys these heels I've had for a while - they have slight height and are super duper comfortable.
